Welcome to Placement Prep Assistant. This is a student-built placement preparation tool for SVCE MCA students. By using this app, you agree to the following:

1. What this app does

This app helps you track DSA practice, company prep, and connect with classmates through leaderboards and discussion. It is a study aid built by a fellow student, not an official college platform, and is not affiliated with any company you may be interviewing at.

2. Your account & data

You sign in using your Google account. We store your name, email, and profile photo as provided by Google.
We store the data you enter: problems solved, topics practiced, company prep notes, streaks, and discussion posts.
This data is stored securely and is used only to power your dashboard, leaderboard ranking, and the AI Study Buddy feature.

3. Public information

Your profile page (name, photo, streak, topic progress) is publicly viewable by anyone with the link — this is intentional, so you can share it with recruiters if you choose to.
Your leaderboard entry is visible to other logged-in users by default. You can switch to anonymous mode ("Student #X") anytime from the Leaderboard page.
Anything you post in Discuss (questions, replies, images) is visible to all logged-in users.

4. AI Study Buddy

The AI assistant answers questions using your real tracked data, but it is an AI model and can occasionally make mistakes or phrase things imperfectly.
It is a study aid, not a guarantee of interview readiness or outcomes. Use your judgment alongside its suggestions.
Daily question limits apply, since the assistant runs on a free-tier AI service.

5. Community conduct

Be respectful in Discuss posts and replies. No harassment, spam, or plagiarised content.
Posts that violate this may be removed. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.
Do not post others' personal information without consent.

6. No guarantee of results

Tracking your practice here does not guarantee interview selection, offers, or placement outcomes. This is a practice and accountability tool, built by students, for students.

7. Changes to these terms

If these terms change meaningfully, you'll be asked to review and accept the updated version the next time you log in. We will never silently change the terms without prompting you.
